In the summer of 2016 a massive wildfire tore through Fort McMurray and surrounding areas leaving tons of damage and trauma behind. The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo created a Task Force that focused on the wildfire, whether it was communication during, planning re-entry, helping with rebuilding, and much much more.
In October of 2016 I was approached to design the RMWB 2016 Wildfire Recovery Plan with the help of the RMWB Task Force. In collaboration we worked to create a 48 page publication that presented a glossary of terms, background information, the campaign plan, information about communication and stakeholder engagement, safety management, funding, and various recovery projects. When the document was completed, copies were printed and also placed online for the public to see.
